Club 8950 and Me Sometimes you just NEED to challenge yourself. There is a nudge (or an explosion) in your life that roars, "Get out there and grow!" Years and years ago a friend had casually mentioned that she would like to join Toastmaster's. That comment planted a seed that stayed dormant until my personal life "explosion" compelled me to seek a club. The seed had sprouted! Through an internet search I found the nearby Redlands Community Toastmasters Club. The meeting day (Thursday) and time (5:45 p.m.) was convenient. I nervously attended my first meeting. Everyone was very friendly and completely non-threatening. Public speaking IS scary but I felt encouraged and also a bit excited with the challenge. My journey as an official Toastmaster began in January of 2023.
